Harefield Hospital

I worked with AllofUs to create the soundscape for an interactive environment, part of an art-therapy initiative for Harefield Hospital, aiming to reduce patient anxiety before major surgery.

Research has shown that relaxed patients tend to have smoother operations and faster recovery times. We used this and our own qualitative research to develop a new approach to the environments used by patients before entering the operating theatre. A tactile, nature inspired and interactive space was developed for Harefield hospital and was unveiled, along with a satellite version at the Royal Brompton Hospital, during London Design Week.
